Good food, a must stop if your in area. They have shake of the day but we didn’t get to do it.. Evidently a bunch of different shakes so we will be back for that!!
First time here on our way home from up north. Will definitely be back again! Very friendly bartender and food was excellent. My husband had the boasted chicken, and I had the steak sandwich. Highly recommend stopping here.
Delicious everything! Awesome broasted chicken, juicy and seasoned perfectly with a side of the best German potato salad I have ever tasted! Even though they have a huge dinning room, we ate at the bar and had spot on service from a bartender with A-1 personality, who had her eye on everything! We stopped while traveling, grateful to find a restaurant open on Memorial Monday. These people know how to make money and do it well, with a smile. And, this place is cool and clean!!!!
Don’t walk. RUN to Chet & Emil's, Inc. for the best damn broasted chicken you will ever find. My mother-in-law cleaned the bones off on her plate. It was that delicious. Let’s start with the broasted potatoes. OMG! Do you see the BUTTER on them? They must slice up and entire potato and drop it into the broasted. No “wedge” fries masquerading as broasted potatoes. And the dang coleslaw? Creamy, with just the right notes of vinegar. This is my new favorite coleslaw in the area! And finally the main attraction: the chicken. Hot, and crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. I hate wasting food, so I always get the two-piece meal, all white. I have yet to leave hungry. If you walk - and don’t RUN - to Chet & Emil’s, we cannot be friends. UPDATE: we went there again tonight to use a very generous gift certificate based on my last review of Chet & Emil’s. As always, the meal was fantastic but this time, I also tried an old fashioned and let me just say these people know how to old fashion. We topped it off with a piece of caramel brownie cheesecake. I know it sounds like a lot but it was really good. The cook and waitress helped us out by posing for a picture with me. I know they thought it was weird, but I just really like the food there. As Jenny and I walked out the door, one of our bartenders came out after us and handed us two bottles of old fashion mix, and a set of directions on how to make it the Chet & Emil’s way. Next time? I’ve got my eyes on a t-shirt.
Food was delicious and service was amazing! The bartender today went above and beyond with an act of kindness. Our family stopped in while on a snowmobiling trip. Despite wearing good gloves my fingers were freezing so the bartender told us where the gas station and dollar general were and said they would probably have some hand warmers. Being from out of town we appreciated his suggestion. We then enjoyed our delicious hot chocolates and broasted chicken. Then, just before we had finished our meal the bartender walked over to us with some packs of hand warmers! Such a kind and thoughtful gesture! We will definitely be back on our next snowmobile trip. Thanks again!
